Your body has two vein systems containing both deep and superficial veins. The veins treated during venaseal in Lynchburg are mostly superficial. Once closed off, the blood flow is redirected to deeper veins, which are responsible for most of your blood flow anyway. You have many veins in both systems, so collapsing the varicose veins should not affect your health in any way.

Immediate and Lasting Vein Closure
Varicose veins are known to affect 1 in 3 people. These twisted veins are not only unsightly, but they can also cause discomfort and pain. If left untreated, they can prevent blood flow to your heart and cause serious medical issues later down the road.
The Venaseal closure system in Lynchburg uses a proprietary medical adhesive to re-direct blood to stronger veins, improving both medical and aesthetic concerns. This treatment is non-thermal and does not require tumescent, allowing for additional comfort and an expedited recovery.
How VenaSeal Works
Bringing You Results
The VenaSeal closure system delivers immediate and lasting vein closure by using a medical adhesive formula to collapse varicose veins. We begin your appointment by mapping out your veins with an ultrasound, giving us an accurate guide for your varicose vein treatment. Then we place a catheter into the varicose vein we want to treat and precisely deliver the adhesive using a dispensing gun.
The medical adhesive begins to bond with the innermost coating of the vein and compression is applied to close the varicose vein. Once the vein fails, your body automatically begins rerouting blood to new and healthier veins while your damaged vein shrinks over the course of a month. This closure system is non-thermal and does not require post-procedure compression stockings.

Frequently Asked Questions
There is no downtime or recovery time needed for venaseal. Once your treatment is finished, you’ll be able to return to your daily activities as normal .We do suggest avoiding strenuous exercise, but encourage light walking to maintain good blood flow.
You may experience some mild bruising or discomfort. We suggest at-home pain relievers for any discomfort you may experience. You may also notice a hard, palpable cord in your leg in the area of treatment. It may be tender to the touch and demonstrate significant bruising. This is the normal process of the vein shutting down and shrinking in diameter. This sensation will soften up and resolve over the course of two to four weeks. While these side effects are rare, if you have a fever, chills, weakness, fainting, chest pain or difficulty breathing, or severe leg pain, swelling, or redness after your vein ablation in Lynchburg, we suggest calling our office and then heading to an emergency room immediately.
Compared to other varicose vein removal treatments, VenaSeal in Lynchburg is fairly painless as it is non-thermal and does not require tumescent. However, to maintain your comfort during treatment, we do apply a local anesthetic to the treatment site.
For this specific treatment, compression stockings are not required.
Keep your legs elevated when you are asleep. We also ask that you get up and walk for five minutes for every hour you are sitting. To discourage the development of new varicose veins, you can maintain a healthy weight through regular diet and exercise, avoid prolonged periods of sitting or standing, and wear compression stockings.
The Venaseal closure system is covered by select insurances. Therefore, availability for VenaSeal is dependent on which insurance company you are currently enrolled with.
