How Sclerotherapy Treats Spider Veins
Bringing You Results
Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate spider veins and some mild cases of varicose veins. This treatment involves an injection of a solution (generally a salt solution) directly into the vein being treated.
You’ll lie on your back with your legs slightly raised, and we’ll use a small needle to administer the solution. Then, we’ll apply steady pressure to help the solution take effect. The solution will cause the vein to constrict, redirecting blood flow to healthier veins.
There’s no required downtime after your appointment. However, we do recommend wearing compression stockings for about 2 weeks to promote healing.
